Support For Your Dog
We understand that parting with a beloved family pet can be an incredibly difficult and emotional decision. Life doesn’t always go to plan, and unexpected changes can leave even the most devoted owners facing heartbreaking choices.
At La’al Marras, we believe that permanent decisions aren’t always the answer to temporary challenges. Wherever possible, we aim to support owners in keeping their pets, offering signposting to services and advice that might ease the pressure you're under. Sometimes, a little guidance or short-term help is all that's needed.
Before moving forward with rehoming, we encourage you to explore the resources linked below. You may find practical help for the issues you and your dog are currently facing.
If you do need to rehome your pet, please complete our Intake Application Form below. While our focus is on dogs, we may occasionally be able to assist with other animals depending on circumstances—feel free to email us directly to discuss.
There are many excellent local and national rescues we trust and recommend. We strongly advise reaching out to several at once; the more who know about your situation, the better the chance of securing a safe placement in time. If we're unable to offer a space within your timeframe, we're always happy to help signpost to others who might.
We have a selection of freely available guides and information sheets that may help with settling in a new dog, behavioural management, basic healthcare and providing enrichment opportunities.
